CRUSADER NEWS
publishing student literary works
One of the major thrusts of the school curriculum is to emphasize the writing aspect of the language arts program.  Students in Grades K-8 submit stories, poems, articles, puzzles, and drawings to faculty advisors and plan the design of their work in the school’s quarterly newspaper.
GUITAR LESSONS
learning to play the guitar
Students in grades 3-8 have the opportunity to learn how to play the guitar with Sr. Mary Kevin. Students learn how to read music, play melody and also how to play using chords. Students must have their own acoustic guitar. No electric guitars.
SHARING CLASSES
meet students in other grades
Upper grade levels "partner up" with younger grade levels to read stories, share talents, or do projects/activities together. It's a great way to get to know students in other grades. Younger students really look up to their "sharing partners." Older students practice patience and get to remember that they were once that small also.
ALTAR SERVERS
serving the Lord
Students in grades 4 - 8 serve both daily and weekend mass, funerals, weddings.
FAMILY MASS
worship as a family with the community
Every 3rd Sunday of the month families are encouraged to come to 11:30 mass to celebrate the Eucharist together. Families may participate by proclaiming the readings, leading the congregation in the Prayers of the Faithful, reading the announcements and bringing up the gifts. By joining with other parishioners our families feel the warmth and connection of the St. Bartholomew community.
